Onam Celebration at Don Bosco College

Don Bosco College joyfully celebrated the festival of Onam on 27th August with great enthusiasm and cultural vibrancy. The campus was filled with festive colors, traditional attire, and the spirit of togetherness, making the occasion truly memorable.

The day began with the creation of an elegant Pookkalam i.e., floral carpet, symbolizing prosperity and unity. Students and faculty, dressed in traditional Kerala attire, added charm and authenticity to the celebrations.

The cultural programs showcased the rich heritage of Kerala through mesmerizing Thiruvathira dance performances, the energetic beats of Chenda melam, and vibrant traditional art forms. Adding to the excitement, students participated in traditional games such as tug-of-war and Uriyadi, spreading joy and laughter across the campus.

The highlight of the day was the collective spirit of celebration – from artistic performances and speeches to sharing festive moments with friends and faculty. The Onam celebrations at Don Bosco College not only honored Kerala’s cultural legacy but also fostered unity, happiness, and community spirit among all participants.
