Kanneerinu Oru Kai is a prestigious charity initiative of the college that has been actively functioning since 2014 with the noble objective of extending financial assistance to the needy and the suffering.
The programme was inaugurated by H. G. Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysus, Bishop of the Orthodox Diocese, Kollam. In his inaugural address, he appreciated the humanitarian efforts of the college and congratulated the management, staff, and students for sustaining such a meaningful initiative for more than a decade. The keynote address was delivered by Adv. G. Muraleedharan Nair, Member of the Kerala University Syndicate. He highlighted the importance of social responsibility and lauded the institution for instilling compassion and service-mindedness among students.
The highlight of the programme was the lucky draw, in which around thirty one people won various attractive prizes. The prizes included a diamond ring, television, mobile phone, microwave oven, and several other valuable gifts. The draw was conducted in a transparent and systematic manner in the presence of dignitaries, staff members, students, and well-wishers.
As part of the charity initiative, a financial aid of ₹4,50,000/- was handed over to one of the college students who is undergoing treatment for cancer. In addition, financial support was extended to other deserving and needy individuals. The initiative once again reflected the institution’s commitment to compassion, solidarity, and community service.
