IGNITE 2026, the Entrepreneurship Development Club Inauguration and Entrepreneurial Talk, was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Club of Don Bosco College, Kottiyam, on 03 September 2026 at the College Auditorium. The programme was organized with the objective of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students, encouraging them to transform innovative ideas into meaningful ventures, and motivating them to become future job creators rather than merely job seekers.
The programme commenced with a prayer song by Hannah Sara Roy, Student Representative, followed by the welcome address delivered by Ms. Amritha Chandran, ED Club Coordinator. Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Karackatt, Director, delivered the Presidential Address and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development in shaping the future of students.
The formal inauguration of the Entrepreneurship Development Club was marked by the lighting of the lamp. The inaugural address was delivered by Mr. Sreelal Sreedharan, Founder, Thynkspire India, who shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship and the opportunities available for young aspiring entrepreneurs.
The programme continued with an engaging Entrepreneurial Talk by Mr. Shameem Pariyanghat, Career Development Speaker, and Mr. Muhammed Anzil N S, Soft Skills Trainer, Skill Development Council Canada. The sessions provided students with practical insights into career development, entrepreneurial thinking, skill enhancement, and the importance of developing an innovative and opportunity-oriented mindset.
An interactive session was also conducted, providing students with an opportunity to engage with the speakers, clarify their queries, and gain a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and career development.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Sahid Mohamed, Student Representative. IGNITE 2026 served as an inspiring platform for students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities, develop confidence and professional skills, and recognize their potential to become innovative contributors and future job providers.
