NSS



Don Bosco College has been associated with two N.S.S. units, KL-07-110A & 110B, since its inception. Altogether, we have two units with 50 students each. Our N.S.S. unit has been acclaimed as one of the best under the University of Kerala. One of our senior Programme Officers received the Best Programme Officer Award in 2021. Additionally, four students were selected as the Best NSS Volunteers, and two students received the Appreciation Award. Our N.S.S. unit is known for a wide range of activities related to charity and social service. We provide financial assistance to people in need and have built homes for the homeless under the college charity programme Kanneerinu Oru Kai.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF NSS
- To understand the community in which they work.
- To understand themselves in relation to their community
- To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve community members in the problem-solving process.
- To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
- To utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
- To develop the competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities.
