Don Bosco College, Kottiyam, organised the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) General Body Meeting on 10 October 2025 at the College Auditorium. The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, who actively contributed to the discussions and proceedings. A majority of the parents of first-, second-, and third-year undergraduate students, as well as first- and second-year postgraduate students, attended the meeting.
The programme commenced with the PTA General Body Meeting, followed by class-wise PTA meetings. The selection of members for the PTA Working Committee, Executive Committee, and Core Committee was also carried out as part of the proceedings. Mr. Shailendra Babu, the parent representative of the BCA Department, was elected as the PTA Vice President, while Mrs. Soumya Manoj, the parent representative of the BBA Department, was elected as the PTA Vice Chairperson.
The meeting served as a valuable platform for strengthening the partnership between parents and the institution. The active involvement of parents and their constructive contributions reinforced the importance of collaborative efforts in supporting students’ academic progress and overall development. The meeting laid a strong foundation for the effective functioning of the PTA during the academic year 2026-2027.
