The National Service Scheme (NSS) Units of Don Bosco College, Kottiyam observed World Breastfeeding Week in the college’s adopted village Kakkattuvayal on 10/08/2026 as part of their community outreach activities. The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of breastfeeding and promote proper nutrition and care for breastfeeding mothers. As part of the initiative, NSS volunteers distributed nutritious food kits to breastfeeding mothers in the adopted village, highlighting the importance of a balanced and healthy diet during the breastfeeding period. The programme was attended by Programme Officer Ms. Athira Jolly, Director Fr. Dr. Francis Karackat, and Principal Dr. Y. Joy, who were felicitated for their valuable support and encouragement.
