Talent Hunt 2K26 is a flagship talent identification programme organized every year by Don Bosco College, Kottiyam, exclusively for the first-year students. The event provided a vibrant platform for freshers to showcase their talents in music, dance, acting, anchoring, instrumental performances, and other creative arts. Eight departments of the college participated in the competition, with each department presenting a team that reflected the creativity, coordination, and artistic excellence of its first-year students. The programme aimed to identify and nurture talented performers for future interdepartmental, intercollegiate, university-level competitions, and various campus programmes while fostering confidence, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and healthy competition.
The programme was inaugurated on 4 August 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The inaugural session began with an Invocation, followed by the Welcome Speech by Rev. Fr. Joby Mathew SDB, Vice Principal, the Presidential Address by Rev. Fr. Dr. Francis Karackat SDB, Manager & Rector, the Lighting of the Lamp, and the Keynote Address by the Chief Guest, Ms. Bhagya S., Professional Dancer and Content Creator. The programme also included a song by Rev. Fr. Robin Mathew SDB, DDE, the Honouring of the Chief Guest, and the Talent Hunt performances by the participating departments.
The Valedictory Function included Words of Appreciation by Dr. Y. Joy, Principal, Concluding Remarks by the judges, Honouring of the Judges by Rev. Fr. Dr. Lijo Kalambadan SDB, Administrator, Prize Distribution, the Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sneha S., Programme Coordinator, and concluded with the National Anthem.
The programme guidelines and performance instructions were presented by Ms. Jini Shaji, Programme Coordinator. The event was conducted under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Robin Mathew SDB (DDE & Main Coordinator) and was coordinated by Ms. Jini Shaji (Department of Social Work), Ms. Sneha S. (Department of Management), and Ms. Athira V. Pillai (Department of B.Com. Taxation), ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of Talent Hunt 2K26.
