The NSS Units of Don Bosco College, Kottiyam conducted a Hepatitis B Awareness Programme at Kakkattuvayal, the college’s adopted village, with the aim of creating awareness about the prevention and control of Hepatitis B. The programme began with an orientation session led by Junior Health Inspector Mr. Abhilash, who explained the survey strategies and guidelines to the NSS volunteers. NSS Programme Officers Ms. Sali S and Ms. Rimsy Helen were also present and encouraged the volunteers to actively participate in the community outreach programme. Following the orientation, the volunteers visited households across the adopted village to conduct a health survey and educate residents about Hepatitis B, its modes of transmission, preventive measures, vaccination, and other related communicable diseases. The programme helped spread awareness among the villagers and promoted the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene.
