The Postgraduate Department of English organized Dharohar – Indian Knowledge Festival, a unique exhibition celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage and traditional knowledge. The programme beautifully brought together a variety of elements such as antique collections, Ayurvedic medicinal plants, traditional textiles, handcrafted items, charts, and cultural exhibits, offering visitors a glimpse into the depth and diversity of Indian heritage.
A video presentation on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) was also showcased, highlighting the depth of India’s traditional wisdom. The presentation helped visitors gain a deeper understanding of the scientific, cultural, and philosophical foundations of Indian traditions.
The event also featured, vibrant folk song, dance performances, and an ethnic walk, which highlighted the beauty of traditional attire and cultural expressions. Students actively participated in presenting and explaining the exhibits, making the programme both informative and engaging for the audience.
Teachers and students from various departments visited the exhibition and expressed great appreciation for the creativity, effort, and teamwork displayed by the Department of English and its students. The programme turned out to be a memorable and enriching experience, celebrating the spirit of tradition, culture, and collective effort.
