The Department of English organized a seminar titled “Financial Literacy: Empowering Students for a Financially Secure Future” on 5th August 2025 at 9:30 AM in the Seminar Hall. The session was led by Ms. Marina Michael, HoD of Commerce-Taxation at Don Bosco College, Kottiyam, and a part-time research scholar at Fatima Mata National College (Autonomous), Kollam.
The seminar aimed to equip students with essential financial knowledge and practical skills to make informed decisions, develop smart saving habits, and ensure long-term financial well-being. The session provided valuable insights into budgeting, financial planning, and managing personal finances, fostering a sense of economic responsibility among students.
