Don Bosco College, Kottiyam, was officially declared a Green Campus on January 9, 2025, making it the first self-financing college in Kollam district to achieve this status. The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit organized the event, which featured an inaugural address by MLA Noushad, who presented the Green Campus Declaration Certificate to Principal Dr. Y. Joy. Key speakers, including Haritha Kerala Mission representatives, highlighted the college’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The ceremony included a lamp-lighting ritual, felicitation speeches, and the NSS Geetham, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to eco-friendly initiatives. The program successfully showcased Don Bosco College’s role in promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation.
