Established in 2017, Department of B.Com Commerce &Tax Procedure and Practice at Don Bosco College has blossomed into a distinguished undergraduate program, now rebranded as B.Com Taxation under the University of Kerala’s new Four-Year Under Graduate Scheme. This dynamic department delivers an all-encompassing educational journey, seamlessly integrating vital fields such as taxation, finance, banking, law, insurance, e-commerce, accounting and management, which are essential in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. The department takes great pride in guiding its students towards successful professional paths, with a remarkable alumni network holding prominent roles in renowned corporate firms like UST Global, various banking institutions, and public sector organizations, a testament to the program’s excellence. Program Objectives

  • To equip the students with the knowledge of application of various GST models and tax structure.

  • To provide practical skills on applying various provisions of Income Tax Act for tax planning.

  • To acquaint the students with managerial tasks associated with implementing corporate strategy.
  • To enable the students to apply the costing methods and techniques in different types of industries.

  • . To familiarize students with the audit of companies and the liabilities of the auditor.

  • To study various aspects of application of modern marketing techniques for obtaining a competitive advantage in business organizations.

  • To impart knowledge on assessment procedure and filing of return of income of various assessee.

  • To acquaint students with some innovative e-business systems.
