Established in the academic year 2021-2022, the Department of Finance is a vibrant and dynamic academic unit that offers a comprehensive undergraduate program in Finance.



Program Objectives
Demonstrate foundational knowledge in commerce and accounting: Develop a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of commerce and accounting, including financial management, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
Prepare for careers in financial management and planning: Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work in corporate and government financial management, banking, and financial planning, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills: Enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make sound financial decisions, analyze complex financial data, and develop effective solutions to financial challenges.
Cultivate essential soft skills: Inculcate good communication, numerical ability, teamwork, leadership skills, and ethical values necessary for success in the financial industry.
Understand auditing principles and practices: Familiarize students with the audit of companies, including the liabilities of auditors, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop tax planning and compliance skills: Impart knowledge on assessment procedures and filing of return of income for various assessees
